Duolingo: A Free and Easy Way to Learn a New Language

Are you planning to travel or move to another country? Does your workplace require you to speak to people of different nationalities? Would you like to learn a new language to relate to other people in these circumstances?

There are a few major language learning programs available out there, but there is one that is free (without upgrades), that can help you work toward fluency in many major languages: Duolingo.

I have studied Spanish using Duolingo, and it is easy to use, and progress in comprehension with. You can benefit from it whether you are a beginner, or more advanced in the language. Learning takes place online at Duolingo.com, unit by unit, with the first ones being about greetings and forming basic sentences, progressing to topics such as family and shopping, with later units covering past and future tenses, and more.

Along with the unit lessons, you can start a personalized lesson to review and practice your mistakes. There is also a section full of simple and comical stories, arranged at your fluency level, to help with your overall understanding of the language. In addition, you can earn rewards and compete with other language learners online.

All of this is free, without any commitments or contracts. If you want to upgrade to Super Duolingo, you can also learn without ads, and with targeted practice suggestions, based on your progress, along with other benefits.

So if you would like to learn another language, don’t want to spend any money on it, enjoy easy lessons and funny stories, and would like to progress anywhere from beginner to advanced in fluency, you should give Duolingo a try!
